Ms. Huguette Vincent Jones
“A self taught Chef specializing in Creole Soul Cuisine and so much more!”
Ms. Huguette Vincent Jones was born in New Orleans, Louisiana to parents who loved to cook and a mother who loved entertaining for every occasion. As a teenager, Ms. Jones and her best friend play-acted as caters of their own company where they did family parties. Ms. Jones’ dream began to take shape as she moved on to working for a famous French catering company in New Orleans. In 1990, she moved to Atlanta, Georgia, with her six-year old daughter. It was here that she began to explore her culinary talents by using recipes from her mother’s kitchen, experimenting with flavors, herbs and spices, and conducting extensive library studies on menus and recipes.
She soon began hosting formal and informal dinners at her home. Her food preparations were so unique and delectable, that people began calling for official catered parties and all sorts of special events. Ms. Jones unique flavorful recipes started awakening taste buds everywhere! Huguette’s Creole Soul Cuisine is a blend of love, passion and adoration from her soul and culture. Her creative dishes are such that you will never forget them! Many have asked, “What is Creole Soul?” Ms. Jones response has been, “It’s a passion that stirs deep from within!”
Ms. Jones has accomplished much in her many years of experience. She hosted a Premier Gala at the then Grant Park Mansion, showcasing her famous cuisine, proceeds were donated to a non-profit organization. The event showcased her signature dishes including: Trout Huguette’s, Creole Shrimp Etoufee, Bourbon Chicken, Creole Jambalaya, Bread Pudding in Rum Sauce and her Mother’s recipe to Authentic Gumbo. Ms. Jones has catered events for major companies in Atlanta. In November of 2004, she produced and hosted a live cooking show from her home. As a featured chef at the Cook’s Warehouse, classes taught by Ms. Jones sold out to crowds, everywhere. Ms. Jones also hosted a live cooking demonstration at the Fulton County Library in Atlanta, Georgia, and was an invited guest on Turner South's Home Plate, featuring Chef Marvin Wood. Ms. Jones says that her key to success should be credited to ‘enjoying what you do!’
